Prosimy dziś o pomoc dla niezwykłej osoby – Piotra Szczodrego.

To człowiek o wielkiej duszy artysty: malarz, pisarz, poeta, muzyk, kompozytor i DJ. Piotrek nie tylko malował i wystawiał swoje obrazy – on również pisał książki i wiersze, komponował do nich muzykę i śpiewał własne utwory. Jego twórczość była wielokrotnie doceniana, a on sam zawsze dzielił się swoim talentem z innymi.

Przez lata Piotrek wspierał wiele wydarzeń charytatywnych i festiwali – oddając swoje prace na aukcje, grając koncerty, występując na scenie, wspierając artystów i organizatorów. Nigdy nie prosił o nic dla siebie. Zawsze tam, gdzie była potrzeba, dawał serce, czas i talent – także jako przyjaciel, gotów pomóc w każdej sytuacji.

Dziś jednak Piotrek sam znalazł się w ogromnej potrzebie.

Kilka tygodni temu przeszedł udar i stracił nogę (amputacja poniżej kolana). Trafił do ośrodka opieki, bo jego mieszkanie na piętrze nie nadaje się dla osoby na wózku. Czeka na mieszkanie od councilu, ale póki co jest całkowicie zależny od innych.

Dostał zwykły, ręczny wózek, ale z powodu osłabienia rąk i ogólnego stanu zdrowia nie jest w stanie się nim swobodnie poruszać. Potrzebuje elektrycznego skutera, który da mu niezależność i możliwość wyjścia z domu.

Drugim celem zbiórki jest nowoczesna proteza z ruchomą stopą. NHS zapewnia tylko najprostsze, sztywne protezy, które są bolesne i ograniczające. Endoproteza da Piotrkowi realną szansę na rehabilitację, mniejszy ból i powrót do chodzenia w bardziej naturalny sposób.

Trzecim celem są podstawowe środki do życia i rehabilitacji – rękawiczki do wózka, akcesoria do ćwiczeń, dojazdy na terapie i wizyty u lekarzy. Universal Credit daje minimum, a na PIP trzeba czekać miesiącami. Każda wpłata pomoże Piotrkowi przetrwać ten czas godnie, bez strachu o podstawowe potrzeby.

Piotrek całe życie dawał coś od siebie innym. Teraz my możemy dać coś od siebie jemu.

Pomóżmy mu odzyskać niezależność.

Pomóżmy mu stanąć na nogi… choćby na jednej.

We would like to ask for your support for an extraordinary person – Piotr Szczodry.

Piotr is a true artist’s soul: a painter, writer, poet, musician, composer and DJ. He not only painted and exhibited his works, but also wrote books and poetry, composed songs and performed his own music. His art has been recognised many times, and he always shared his talent with others.

For years, Piotr supported countless charity events and festivals – donating his art to auctions, performing concerts, playing at community events. He never asked for anything for himself, always putting his own needs last. As a friend, he was always there when someone needed help – kind, generous and reliable.

Today, however, Piotr himself is in great need.

Just a few weeks ago, he suffered a stroke and had to undergo a below-knee leg amputation. He is currently staying in a care home, as his flat (on the first floor) is unsuitable for someone in a wheelchair. He is waiting for a council flat adapted for disabled people, but for now, he is fully dependent on others.

He was given a manual wheelchair, but due to weakness in his hands and overall health, he cannot use it for longer distances. He urgently needs an electric mobility scooter, to regain independence and the ability to leave the care home on his own.

The second goal is to fund an advanced prosthetic leg with a moving foot. The NHS only provides very basic, stiff prosthetics, which are painful and limit mobility. A modern, customised prosthesis would give Piotr a real chance at effective rehabilitation, less pain, and the possibility of walking again.

Finally, part of the funds will go towards basic living and rehabilitation costs – gloves for the wheelchair, exercise equipment, transport to hospital and therapy. At the moment, Piotr survives only on Universal Credit, while PIP may take months to be approved. Each donation will help him live with dignity and focus on recovery.

Piotr has always been there for others. Now it is our turn to be there for him.
