Наш син Петар Мићић, рођен 4. октобра 2010. године, већ годинама се бори са алвеоларним рабдомиосаркомом, ретким и агресивним малигним тумором.

Његово детињство обележили су болнице, хемиотерапије, зрачења и операције. Лечење је започео у Крагујевцу и Београду, наставио у Штутгарту, а затим у Кливленду. Сваки пут када смо се понадали да је борба завршена, морали смо поново да кренемо.

Сада се појавила нова терапија у Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center у Њујорку која нам улива нову наду. Желимо Петру да пружимо прилику да је добије.

Највећа препрека су трошкови. Наше осигурање из Охаја не покрива потребно лечење у Њујорку, а процена трошкова је више од 321.000 долара.

Крагујевац. Београд. Штутгарт. Кливленд. Сада Њујорк.

То је пут једног детета које не престаје да се бори. Као родитељи, не можемо да станемо док постоји нада и могућност лечења.

Help Petar Fight Sarcoma - Give Him a Chance to Live

Our son, Petar Micic, born on October 4, 2010, has been fighting alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, for the past six years.

His treatment began in Serbia and continued in Stuttgart, Germany, and Cleveland, Ohio. His childhood has been marked by surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and countless difficult treatments. Each time we hoped the battle was over, we had to begin again.

But Petar has never stopped fighting.

Now, a new treatment opportunity has opened at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Petar has been accepted for treatment, and this opportunity gives our family new hope.

The greatest obstacle is the cost. Our Ohio insurance does not cover the necessary treatment in New York, and the estimated cost is $321,000.

Kragijevac. Belgrade. Stuttgart. Cleveland. Now New York.

This is the journey of a child who has endured more than any child should have to endure — and who is still fighting for his life.

As Petar's parents, we cannot give up while there is still a possibility of treatment.
