Updates - sadly we have had to stop accepting in more rescues as we just do not have the money to pay for more and we are desperate for more funds to cover cost for the 20 rescues we have in with us now as well as the 20 keepers we have had with us for a few years already because they could not be rehomed.

Please help us so we don't have to surrender them to other rescues who are in the same situation but will just put them in a kennel. Once we get our funds healthy again and can cover costs we then need to look at funding for reopening as I've had to turn away 3 this week and and it's the same most weeks. They either end in up kennels or getting put to sleep.

Anything will help even if everyone I know on fb and insta gave a £1 and everyone sharing this will help even with a 100 shares and £1 per share will impact things for us greatly.

We are in desperate need of beds as ours are all worn on with holes and beyond repair after have made constant repairs to try and save them the fabrics are just too worn out now. Pommania has been dedicated to the Pomeranian breed for 25 years and running our rescue. As we don't breed to sell anymore and haven't for some years now, we can only continue with our rescue by getting help from donors to buy things like food puppy pads cleaning supplies, grooming supplies, pay for staff to help take care of everyone and pay for essential vet bills which everyone knows are just astronomical these days even just for a consult it's £70 before they do anything.

Sadly our girl lost her fight on Thursday 9th Jan. Sadly the events that lead to this were the cause of her death. She got sepsis two days after surgery and her liver was starting to fail. When I went to see her her wound was leaking large amounts of puss. The day before she was up on her feet and starting to look better but unfortunately by this morning infection from the op had set in and she was jaundice from her liver starting to fail and her chance of recovering was only 10% so rather than letting her die from organ failure it was kinder to let her go.

She will forever be remembered and greatly missed and we will be having her cremated and have her ashes returned to us so any more funds will go towards this and then we need to save up an emergency fund so we never have to use the PDSA again and we can go and get treatment needed straight away and never have to lose another in this way again.

We just cannot help all the poms we need to without your help and have sadly had to turn a number of dogs away as we are already well over our limit of dogs we agreed to stay at to be able to care for them all but when faced with a healthy pom bring put to sleep if we don't take it we just can't say no.

In the last year we have helped over 40 Pomeranians find new homes for various reasons. This is more than we have had through our rescue in the last 20 years and we have still had to turn many away because of lack of funds to be able to take care of them all.

We need to look for a new property and because of our situation we need to pay at least six months rent in advance plus the deposit plus the removals which are expensive moving all the dogs and there equipment. we also have to have a couple of weeks overlap on the properties to set up the new house before moving the dogs into it. Ideally we'd like to find a long lease where we can be secure for years to come.

This is why we have set the amount we have to cover operating costs for now and to raise enough to be able to find a new more suitable property to run the rescue so we can help more poms in need as the need for our rescue is sadly in high demand and not going to get better.
