Save POM Float From Closing

Story

I am Pat Johnson, owner of POM Float Peace Of Mind floatation therapy center in Spring Hill, FL. I am asking for donations to help my business stay open. When my husband and father of my children passed from a long and difficult battle against cancer in 2014, my son was having difficulty sleeping and I suggested he find something natural to help. He then came to me and asked if I heard of “sensory deprivation” which I had but wasn’t aware that it helped with sleeplessness. We decided it would be worth trying. It was amazing, we never felt so relaxed, and it was truly rejuvenating for me. This is when I decided to start looking into floatation therapy and discovered the amazing benefits it can provide. After years of researching floatation therapy and completing my business plan, I decided to move forward with my plan for investing my retirement savings into a small business. I opened POM Float February 17, 2020, three weeks before the pandemic was declared. Over these past years I have put everything into my business as I strongly believe in floatation therapy and wanted to provide this service to the community. It can provide many benefits such as relief from anxiety, pain, and muscle recovery to name just a few. In the end of 2022, I lost my job in software engineering due to a reduction in force where my position was eliminated and, unbelievably to me, I have not been able to secure a new job. I knew going in that opening a small business can require a substantial investment of time and money. Time to give the business for growth before expecting to see any return on your investment, I had heard one to three years. However, the pandemic and the state of the economy have extended that time beyond my resources. I have exhausted all of my retirement savings, assets, and I am now struggling to meet financial obligations. Helping people has always brought me joy and this helped me through a very difficult time in my and my family’s life. I am reaching out for immediate help as I want more than anything to continue providing floatation therapy to the community, but I need your help. This is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do as I am not the type of person to give up or ask for help. I hope this is not the end of my small business journey and that I will be able to continue providing floatation therapy for years to come. Just need some help to get through this difficult time. All donations will be used to cover financial obligations and operational expenses (i.e., financial business debt, lease, licenses, insurance, supplies). No donation is too small, ALL are most truly appreciated! Thank you for your consideration and help! If you can, please share.
