Hello everyone!
We have had many people reach out with concerns about our Dad and the events that have taken place in the last few days.
On Monday, September 19th, Dad had a seizure at work and became unresponsive. With huge thanks to his boss and dispatch; 911 was initiated. The ambulance was able to locate him and had to start CPR when they arrived due to him not breathing and not having a pulse. He was successfully revived and taken to Albert Lea Emergency room where they sedated and intubated him. From Albert Lea he was flown to Rochester where they did imaging and noted 3 masses on his brain. From the ER in Rochester he was taken to the Neuro ICU. Monday night he was weened off of sedation and able to get the breathing tube out. Tuesday, a doctor met with us after an MRI and noted 11 brain tumors, 1 tumor on his left lung, and a few tumors on his adrenal glands. Neuro surgery then met with us and stated they can remove the large brain tumor and use radiation for the others. Today (9/21) at 12:30pm Dad was wheeled back to the OR in Rochester to remove the large brain tumor. We got a call around 4:15 pm from his surgeon and was notified that he is now out of surgery and that surgery went great. Still such a long road of recovery for him and a lot of other steps that need to be taken but we will update this page as we can. Dad, Cody, and I appreciate all of the support, prayers, and well wishes. Dad is motivated to fight this but with him not being able to work and being just shy of qualifying for Medicare, this will be a major financial burden. We are trying our best to help him with this burden. Any prayers or monetary donations are greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for your support! ❤️
-Amanda and Cody
