The Polito family has been absolutely blindsided by a horrible, sudden illness which has left Fabio in the hospital fighting for his life . After several emergency room visits and rapid deterioration of Fabio's health, he was admitted to the hospital.

 Due to the severity and complexity of his condition, he was recently rushed and transferred to a better equipped hospital.

Only yesterday, it was confirmed that Fabio is battling Viral Encephalitis, which is a severe infection in the brain. Some symptoms he is experiencing are ... and not limited to … seizures, behavioral changes, muscle weakness, partial paralysis, loss of consciousness, and periods of complete apnea ( stopping breathing) and he is constantly catatonic.

 This is in the early stages of how this happened, leaving a lot of questions unanswered at this time. He is, and has been, undergoing extensive testing and treatment to help support his stabilization and then recovery. It has been immensely hard on him and his body. It's been hard on eveyone..Holly, the hourly trauma she is witnessing (and endless other things), the two boys ages 4.5 and 7 missing their papa and unable to see him, his brother who came from Italy to be beside him during this tragic time, all of his family and friends back home who are so worried and unable to get here and family/friends here. This has been, and continues to be, absolutely devastating.

The neurologist has informed Holly that his hospital stay will be a lengthy one, and heartbreakly, his prognosis is poor .

 I don't want to go into too many more details, as it has been absolutely horrifying and traumatic for his family to endure. However, giving a synopsis on how critical and severe this is it needed to be mentioned.

Those of you who know Holly and Fabio know they are very proud people and would never want to raise funds for expenses. However, with the longevity of his expected hospital stay, money without a doubt will be an issue. As Holly is between the hospital and home to raise the two boys, she will be unable to go to work.

We have come together to put forth a gofundme to assist covering costs associated with food, back and forth to hospital visits, bills and anything else that will inevitably pop up during this time.

Fabio is such an amazing man, so hardworking, and is totally devoted to Holly, his two boys, and his family. He would legitimately give you the shirt off his back and always goes above and beyond for anyone he cares about. Any amount you are willing and able to donate would be greatly appreciated.
