Politicking is a black-owned, non-partisan political information platform that seeks to empower marginalized voters. At Politicking, we are acutely aware of the civic injustices that have plagued our communities for centuries and seek to combat systemic racism by creating a just, political information ecosystem. We understand that our liberation is contingent upon the liberation of black and brown people throughout the world.
The heinous killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Sean Reed, Tony McDade, and countless others have brought America to its knees. Yet, we are still addressing an issue that is not new. Racial injustice has continued to decimate our society and is currently manifesting through not only police brutality, but the Covid-19 pandemic--both of which are disproportionately killing black and brown people.
We are in a state of emergency.
We are living in a carceral state under martial law.
We are in an election year.
Many have asked, "Where do we go from here?"
We are asking for your financial support. This is an opportunity for all allies and Friends of Politicking to contribute in a way that will yield lasting change.
Politicking needs DOLLARS to ensure that we can cover every single county in the United States with electoral information. We need DOLLARS to combat voter suppression. We need DOLLARS to continue to arm our constituency with knowledge in these otherwise dark times. With your support, we can ensure every ballot in the United States is covered by the information that we provide through the app.
While at Politicking we understand that VOTING is not the ONLY method to address the woes that the black community is facing, we aim to foster the understanding that VOTING is paramount in these critical times--not only for presidential candidates, but for those who are mitigating policy on a state and local level as well.
Neither social media posts nor protests alone will be enough to mobilize REAL CHANGE. These efforts must be unequivocally supported by economic pledges.
Politicking is a SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION. It is one that will outlive these perilous times and uplift all millennials.
Until the lions have their own historian--the history of hunting will always glorify the hunters. We at Politicking believe it is the opportune moment for us to reclaim our time, narrative and political capital.
