They broke my family to protect their power. Now I’m fighting back — for my children and for others trapped between two governments.
My name is Livia Judith Szabo. I am a U.S. citizen, a single mother, and a survivor of political retaliation carried out by a U.S.-affiliated institution abroad. My case is complex — perhaps the most explosive child welfare case involving the U.S. government overseas today.
In 2023, after I exposed financial opacity, radical curriculum practices, and political manipulation at the American International School of Budapest (AISB) — a school backed by the U.S. Embassy, State Department, the AmCham Hungary, and U.S. taxpayer dollars — my children were immediately expelled without due process.
- My daughter is now in long-term psychiatric care.
- My son is suffering from severe emotional trauma.
- Our FOIA requests to the U.S. government have been denied or postponed until 2026.
- The U.S. Embassy, despite sitting on the school’s board, has refused to act — or even acknowledge the harm done.
This isn’t just about my family anymore.
We’ve now identified 10 other cases involving U.S.–Hungarian children who are being bounced between legal systems, manipulated by institutional silence, and harmed by bi-national inaction.
This is systemic abuse, enabled by:
- Diplomatic immunity used to silence dissent
- Taxpayer-funded institutions protecting ideology, not children
- Political cover-ups that sacrifice families to preserve narratives
- And yes, political parties will soon be forced to confront it.
We are launching the For Two Homelands Foundation to:
- Defend families trapped between two countries and no legal protection
- Provide legal, psychological, and emergency aid to American children harmed abroad
- Expose corruption, misuse of nonprofit structures, and ideological abuse in U.S.-funded schools
- Push for Congressional reform and institutional accountability
️ This fundraiser will help us:
File legal complaints and international petitions
Submit reports to the OIG, DOJ, IRS, and U.S. Congress
Provide support to other families going through similar retaliation
Launch a media and advocacy campaign to force transparency from the U.S. Embassy and affiliated schools
Every dollar you contribute helps us fight not only for our own children — but for every American family abroad who has been abandoned, silenced, or punished for asking questions.
$5, $50, or $500 — it all fuels justice.
We stand for:
Truth over secrecy
Children over ideology
Accountability over cover-ups
Thank you for reading, sharing, and standing with us.
Together, we are not just surviving. We are fighting back.
