Hi, my name is Dave. I'm concerned about solar and wind solutions that are being rammed down the public's throat. We're told these technologies are "clean." But that's a lie. Solar panels and wind turbines are mainly being built in China, where pollution controls are non-existent, where coal-fired power plants do not contain scrubbers to remove toxic mercury, sulfur-dioxide (causing acid rain), or other pollutants that cause smog. These products are built using chemicals mined in third world countries by child labor and leaving behind toxic waste. Once installed in America, wind farms kill thousands of birds, and solar farms take up miles and miles of habitat. Once they wear out, the turbine blades are unrecyclable and the solar panels can leach toxic chemicals. This is not the right path forward. Our voices must be heard. Depending on the amount of funding available, we will try to put up signs like this one across New Mexico to counter the plans afoot to pass a so-called "Clean Energy Future" bill that would lock our state (the 2nd largest oil producing state in the nation) into this solar/wind-only scheme and destroy our state's oil and gas industry.
