Police Officer Vincent Parks Memorial Fund

As the brother-in-law of Jonesboro Police Officer Vincent Parks, I am asking for your donation of any amount to be directly dispersed to Vinnie's immediate family - his wife, Christina, and his 13-year-old daughter, Vivianna - in their time of need.

Vincent “Vinnie” Anthony Parks, 38, tragically passed away during training exercises at the Central Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy on July 17, 2022. Vinnie had just begun his commitment to the community as a police officer in June of this year.

Vinnie had fully dedicated himself to pursuing law enforcement both for the chance to serve the community and for his desire to be a strong role model for his daughter, Vivi. He was so incredibly proud of his accomplishment in joining the Jonesboro Police Department, and he wore his badge with honor.

This pride was evident on July 3rd at the Nettleton Baptist Church fireworks display. While our family was taking part in the Fourth of July celebration, it was apparent how excited Vinnie was to begin serving as a police officer in the community. He wore his badge with purpose, prominently attached to his belt, while waiting in the food truck line - the considerable length of the line making for more opportunities to make his presence and commitment to the community known to everyone around.

Vinnie’s first “real” assignment was to direct traffic during the following night’s Fourth of July celebration. As he spoke to me about his assignment, it was apparent how much this opportunity - to give of himself to the community where he lived - meant to him. Our entire family was overjoyed for this new chapter.

Everyone loved Vinnie - funny, honest, hard-working - his gentle nature and enormous heart endeared him to the people who knew him. His personality was magnetic. I cannot overstate how great of an impact he had on our family nor how much his loss is felt.

Won’t you please consider donating to his wife and partner of 18 years, Christina, and his 13-year-old daughter, Vivi, to help alleviate some financial worries following the tragic, sudden loss of Vinnie: husband, father, son, brother, and recently sworn police officer.
