Police Chief Clark of Pittman Center, TN, had been on the transplant registry to receive a new liver for about 16 months. He has a condition called Budd-Chiari Syndrome, which has to do with how his blood forms clots. It caused severe damage to his liver. As of September 7th, he received his new liver.

We must live in Nashville for at least the first 30 days of his recovery due to the close monitoring required after the transplant. However, he will be out of work for 3-6 months depending on how his doctors feel his recovery is going. As of now, he is doing very well, and his doctors are very pleased with how well everything has been and continues to go.
