Polar Plunge Fundraiser: Student OT Association
Donation protected
All of the proceeds gained in this fundraiser will go directly towards to the professional advancement of occupational therapy students at Colorado State University (CSU). We are so grateful for your donations!
As students of CSU's Department of Occupational Therapy (OT), we are committed to helping people of all abilities to engage in meaningful, necessary, and familiar activities in their daily lives. An important part of our educational experience happens outside of the classroom. There are 102 students in CSU's OT program and many of whom are involved in the Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA). SOTA aims to promote professional development and provide opportunities to grow skills and knowledge beyond the classroom. Opportunities include attending regional and national conferences, participating in workshops and training for specific assessments or practice areas, and membership to regional and national occupational therapy associations which advocate for occupational therapy services in legislature. All of these professional development opportunities are vital in helping us become knowledgable occupational therapists, but they cost money above and beyond our graduate school tuition. Your donation would directly go towards covering the costs of these professional development opportunities for OT students.
As an incentive to raise funds, various faculty members of CSU's OT program will be partaking in a polar plunge at Horse Tooth Reservoir if we meet our fundraising goals.
