Polar Bear Pontoons

Polar bears are starving to death due to declining    ice caused by climate change. Under climate              change the bears are loosing their habitat. When    the sea ice is gone polar bears can’t catch their       main source of prey which is seals. 

My idea is to build Polar Bear Pontoons from            plastic waste. A pontoon is a floating structure in    this case like a tiny recycled plastic island or
platform. So we use a free material that is                    currently causing a huge environmental problem    to help fix a dire situation. The polar bear pontoons    are a short term fix to a long term problem but          they can help stop the starvation of polar bears by offering the bears a place to rest and fish from,         traditionally that place would have been ice               however due to climate change that ice is now         gone and the bears are starving to death. Together we can stop this and help the polar bears. 

Every cent of your donations will go towards            building the Polar Bear Pontoons and getting this project started. If I can’t raise enough to start the    project every cent received will be given to a polar bear charity that works to educate people about
the impacts of climate change on the changing
habitats of the polar bear in an effort to end this                        desperately sad situation.


The polar bears and I would be most grateful for     your support. I’m just a regular person who was      deeply disturbed by videos of starving polar bears and I’ve put my thinking cap on in an effort to help  the polar bear. Thank you, Linda.
