POL NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Hello, my name is Pol, I am from Spain studying in Australia. I'm writing this because I really need your help. Thank you sincerely for taking the time to read my GoFundMe campaign.

On the 17th of March I went sailing with my friends in Noosa river, and then I decided to jump out, when I felt, there was a sandbank and I hit my head and therefore, my neck broke.

They took me to the hospital and after a week and many doctors and tests, they have found that, I got the C1 anterior arch fracture + C7 + T1 + T2 fractures and assess for ligamentous injury and define fractures. Lucky to be alive and grateful to still moving.

The doctors told me two news:

Good news:

If the vertebrae weld properly, I will be walking again without any issues in one year.

Bad news:

If they don't, I will undertake a surgery, losing movement of my neck for ever.

Currently I am wearing a hard collar that I need to wear it for 8 weeks in total repose at home without any kind of movement. I feel lucky to have my closest friends looking after me, but I need to go back to Spain once I will be able to fly, because I can't afford living in Australia in this situation.

Any funds raised will help me to cover expenses for a year and pay here in Australia food, rent, medical bills, plane ticket, etc...
