Many of you know of our sweet 10-month-old puppy, Pokey, who is a beacon of light and joy.

Unfortunately, he was clipped by a car yesterday and will either need a fracture repair surgery for his femur, or an amputation.

The amount of support we've already received since the incident has been absolutely astounding, and we feel so fortunate to be surrounded by such a generous and kind community. At this point, we don't know exactly how much money will be needed for his surgery because we are waiting to talk to an orthopedic specialist on Monday to get an idea of what is involved in trying to save the leg.

From there, we will be making a decision.

The goal I set is just my best guess at what would be an amount that would make us a little more financially comfortable, regardless of which surgery we end up performing.
