In Loving Memory of Pogi: Thank You for Your Support!

Hi All,

When I began to help organize this fundraiser, it was to raise funds to help save Pogi. He was fighting so hard, and we held on to every bit of hope. But everything changed within 24 hours, as of 2/4/25, Pogi fought as hard as he could before crossing the Rainbow Bridge.

We are all heartbroken.

Pogi means everything to Anna, Alan, and their family. He has been there for every milestone—building their life together, welcoming their children, and filling their home with love and joy. Losing him so suddenly has left an unimaginable void.

Though this fundraiser began with a different purpose to save Pogi, now that he’s at rest, all donations will help cover the out-of-pocket expenses of his emergency care that the pet insurance couldn’t cover.

A Message from Pogi’s Family

Hi everyone,

We never imagined we’d be here to share this heartbreaking news about Pogi. Pogi was a part of our family and having to say goodbye to him suddenly was rough.

Last week, we rushed him to the emergency vet for what initially appeared to be a treatable issue. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. One thing led to another, and his condition spiraled rapidly. After a series of tests, we learned he needed urgent surgery. Despite everything the doctors did and all the strength Pogi gave, his body just couldn’t fight anymore.

The cost of his care—including ICU treatment, surgery, and everything in between—has totaled $18,000. While we have premium pet insurance, it only covers a portion of the expenses, leaving us with a significant out-of-pocket cost.

Pogi brought us so much love and joy every day. Even in his final moments, he showed the same sweetness and bravery that made him so special. Though our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for every moment we had with him.
