This really lucky girl has been selected from a pool of applicants to participate in the 2014 Callaloo Workshop, in Brixton, London, beginning October 27th. This trip will cost me some money, but it is incomparable to the kind of learning and community I'll gain from the experience. How often do we get to travel to a foreign country by ourselves? Rarely do oppurtunities of this kind come along, and I don't want to miss it. Not only will I spend most of the time pretending to be a muggleborn wizard and improving my accent, but also learning with some of the best black literary artists of our time.

In order to acheive this goal, I need some help! I know that most of our means are limited, but anything is contribution enough.
