I need help paying the vet bill for my beautiful cat. Poe is the sweetest, cuddliest, most beautiful and special cat. I am making this page to ask for some help to save her

This morning she came home bleeding and severely injured. She immediately hid under the bed. After taking her to an emergency vet they’ve told us she has a traumatic brain injury, resulting in a split palate and several facial wounds and bruising. It was most likely a car or a fall from a large height.

The vet bill at the moment is $3, 700 - $3,900. It will increase as she will need to stay in hospital for more than one night. As a young family in this economy, it’s impossible for us to raise this on our own.

Poe has been my rock for 4 years. I rescued her at 3mo old and she became my best friend during a difficult time in my life. I was never a cat person but she truly pushed me over the line. She is loving, sweet, demanding, cuddly, affectionate, funny, and almost human sometimes. She has completely shattered any negative ideas I once had about cats, and she has done the same for so many of the people she meets. All the dog-only lovers are won over by little miss Ponkin.

Poe loves sleeping on the bed, on her back - not a care in the world. She loves her biscuits and will scream at you for dinner and almost knock you over with rubs and cuddles as soon as it turns 6pm.

She loves sunbathing and rolling around in the dirt. She loves cuddling around your neck in the mornings or between your legs through the night. She loves spending time with our little family and is such an important part of it. She has been a constant in my life since before I met my partner and we had our daughter in 2023.
