Podcasting in Exotic Places to Cure Cancer

This project is more than just a podcast. It is a mission.

We wanted to create a series where we film episodes of our podcast in unique and unexpected places. But we did not want it to only be about us. We wanted to use the attention this project would bring to make a difference.

For me (Jack), this mission is deeply personal. My grandma, Mary Jirele, recently passed away from leukemia. She spent her life giving to others, and even in her final years, she donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), an organization dedicated to funding treatments, helping families, and searching for a cure for blood cancers. To honor her legacy, we chose LLS as the organization we will be raising money for.

Cancer touches everyone in some way, whether it is a family member, a friend, or yourself. Together, we believe we can make an impact in the fight to end it.

As part of this series, we filmed in four incredible locations to spark attention and inspire giving:

• Inside a private jet at Fargo Jet Center

• In the middle of a wheat field during harvest at Hasbargan Farms

• On top of a rooftop at North Dakota State College of Science

• On an island in Detroit Lake

Our goal is to raise 2,500 dollars or more to donate directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at the end of September. We are hosting donations here first so we can track how much our community is able to contribute together before sending it on to LLS.

We are beyond grateful for everyone who has supported us, from the businesses who gave us access to film, to every single person who has watched, shared, or donated.
