Support podcast on GI resistance in Vietnam War

In 2025, we will mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. Thirty years ago, we (William Short and Willa Seidenberg) conducted interviews with 58 Vietnam veterans who were part of the GI Resistance Movement, taking stands big and small against a war that many soldiers came to see as wrong. See this website for more information on the oral history/photo project A Matter of Conscience: GI Resistance During the Vietnam War.: https://amatterofconscience.com/A-Matter-of-Conscience/1

There is likely to be an onslaught of coverage about the war in 2025 and we want to make sure that audiences have an opportunity to hear about this vital part of the history of the war. Our interviews show that resistance emanated from a deep moral conscience, usually in the absence of political sophistication, but with a well-defined sense of right and wrong. Their stories are remarkable, ranging from people who refused to fight while in combat, to GIs involved in the GI coffeehouse and underground newspaper movement, to small, personal acts of resistance.

The interviews were recorded on cassette tape and have been digitized. We're ready to begin production to turn these interviews into a multi-episode podcast for 2025. However, we need some funding so we can hire a researcher, web developer, and promotions support personnel.
