Hello my name is Rosemarie and I was blessed with a beautiful, hilarious, genuine, kind, loving, giving, empowering, intelligent, wonderful mother named Patricia.
Patricia is currently going through Duke University in hopes of recieving a heart transplant. Patricia is 55 a mother of three and a grandmother of two, she is the core of our family. In her early thirties my mother was diagnosed with heart disease and over the years it has progressivly got worst. Currently my mother has a pacemaker/icd and LVAD (left ventricular assistant device) that essential pumps blood through her heart for her. In october 2014 my mother was addimted through Strong Memorial Hospital with hopes of being placed on the transplant list, unfortunetly she was too weak, her organs were starting to fail and a transplant was too much of a risk and she just didnt have time. So as a second option and only option at the time we went forward with the LVAD. An LVAD has a life expectancy of about 3-5 years so as you can imagine we are very anxious to get my mother a heart. Im starting this fund in hopes of giving my mother a chance to enjoy life the way anyone hopes to, enjoying memories with family and friends watching her grandchildren grow and exploring the beauty of this world. I cant even fathom the loss of a parent or loved one and especially not a beautifully unselfish women like my mother, I just want to give her a gift that without all of your help would be impossible!
