On the morning of Thursday, April 15th, 2021, the world lost an amazing person. Nicholas Gage Knepper was born on October 5th, 1995 in Tucson, Arizona - the city he proudly called home for his entire life. Nick was taken from us at the young age of 25, after years of battling epilepsy. His passing was incredibly unexpected and has left a hole in many people's hearts.
Nick was a positive, cheerful, hard working, and bright human being who loved life and could put a smile on anybody's face. His rich passion for music and creativity started from an early age, finding his love for percussion in the 4th grade. Little did he know, Nick would impact hundreds of music students lives in the future as a percussion instructor at Amphitheater High School, moving onto Ironwood Ridge High School, and the University of Arizona's "Pride of Arizona." Nick made an enormous impact on the Arizona percussion community and was a fierce advocate for all things music education. A lover of the marching arts, Nick made music with people from around the world from his school days in the school band at Cross Middle School & Canyon del Oro High School, eventually moving on to perform with three World Class Drum & Bugle Corps: Pacific Crest (2013-2014), The Madison Scouts (2015-2016), and Carolina Crown (2017).
Nick was a deeply selfless human being, always putting others before himself. He was a loving son, bother, boyfriend, grandson, cousin, and loyal friend to many people throughout the United States. Nick's love for animals was always apparent, as he had many pets including: Flint - his childhood cat, Tyson - his dog, IO - his cat, and Ravioli - his leopard gecko.
This fundraiser is to help with the costs associated with Nick's funeral & memorial, as well as helping settle any of his debts.
