Single Mom Needing Help

My name is Sophia. I am running this Go Fund Me for my mom Carol. Everyone knows my mom as the smiley, cookie-baking, mom who would do anything for others. However, right now my mom is the one who needs help. My mom has lived in Fort Myers, Florida for roughly 2 years now and unfortunately was severely impacted by Hurricane Ian when it ripped through Fort Myers this last September.

She currently has no walls on the inside of her home and her home is standing with just the cement outer walls. She has been living in this home, in this condition since Ian hit. She has no insurance to fix the walls on the inside of her house and put herself into debt trying to fix them.

She has nothing left.

My mom, like many others, has suffered from mental health issues for a very long time. This issue with her home sent her into a complete mental health spiral.

She was hospitalized in early March for a suicide attempt.

She is now living with me until she can be placed into a long-term treatment facility to help with her mental health struggles.

My mom has no health insurance so many facilities will not take her unless she can pay. All public facilities in her area currently have waitlists of hundreds of people.

I set up this Go Fund Me in hopes of raising some money to pay for her home repairs and her treatment facility. It would mean the absolute world to my entire family if you could find it in your hearts to donate anything, whatever it may be, we would greatly appreciate it.
