Medical Expenses

After this most recent surgery; medical supplies, medications, travel expenses, and keeping up with monthly bills on such a fixed income has become very challenging. This has been an ongoing issue since becoming sick with kidney disease in 2016.. Unfortunately I’m usually able to supplement my income with part time work & right now I’m not able to do that. The recovery from this ureteral transplant has been more challenging & painful than I had anticipated. 8-10 weeks of recovery time seems overwhelming to think about right now. I wish there was more help out there offered to people who have life threatening health conditions or illnesses. Conditions that keep them from being able to work & therefore support themselves.. I know this first hand. My illness can make for good days & bad, without any warning. Or put me in the hospital for weeks at a time. I have not been able to go more than 4 months without a hospital stay, procedure, surgery, or life threatening complications since 2016. I am very grateful for the kindness, help, and support anyone feels inclined to offer me. I’m not ashamed to ask for help. With the state of our economy people like me are really left with no other option. If you don’t support me reaching out for help that’s ok & I understand. I have so many people who show me kindness, love & support that I am eternally grateful for. Thank you.
