Zane has been fighting B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) for 9 years and recently learned his cancer has returned for a third time. He is simultaneously working while receiving weekly chemotherapy treatment.
Zane is currently an Associate Teacher in the Waddler room (#102) and has been with Mighty Kidz for 2.5 years. He loves kids and is a self-proclaimed kid at heart. He is at his best when he is surrounded by his friends, playing, dancing, teaching, reading and being silly. Mighty Kidz is his community, stability and support system. Zane lights up whenever he's in his classroom teaching and caring for his kids. Zane is quick to put others first and his smile has a unique warmth. He is strong, kind, funny, humble, and genuine. He exudes an inviting energy and is a joy to be around.
The last year has been hard on all fronts. In addition to Zane’s cancer, Zane’s loving partner Jacob who worked at the bakery Piroshkis on 3rd Ave, was laid-off like so many during this pandemic. He has been a devoted caregiver for Zane as he takes this journey once again. Zane's dog Cosmo has also been by Zane's side. He is a 1.5 year old German Shepard who is full of energy, but also loves to snuggle up.
We are asking the Mighty Kidz community to come together in support of Zane and Jacob. This GoFundMe account is intended to give those who can and want to help a vehicle to do so. The funds raised here will go directly to Zane and Jacob to help reduce the financial burden that his treatment represents.
