Hey ya’ll. I come to you not as Black Amigo.. but as Adriano Gomez. I am humbly in need of your help. So here it goes.
As you all may know (or don’t) my mother, Kymberli Webster-Campbell was missing for quite sometime and thanks to collaborative efforts, my family and I were able to locate her a few weeks ago at Kennestone Hospital on Jan 26th, 2024. I can’t even express how thankful I am to you all for the joined effort invested into locating her safely. However, upon locating her we discovered that she suffered from an almost fatal medical incident on January 18th, 2024 and has been admitted in the hospital since. She has been clinically diagnosis with and has suffered a traumatic aneurysm causing a double occurring stroke on the left side of her brain. Leaving her completely debilitated and paralyzed on the entire right side of her body with a severe speech impairment among many other defective symptoms. While my family’s hearts have been relieved at the fact we’ve located her, finding our mother in this condition has been heartbreaking to say the least. And the aftermath of such an event has left my family and I feeling overwhelmed with the multifaceted burden and weight of all of this. Those around us who knew and know my mom closely, know our mother had a spirit unlike any other. Able to illuminate any environment with the infectious optimism she had. And my personal hope is we can get her back to that as much as possible!
Here is the HARD PART: Due to my mother’s current condition, she is disabled and will REQUIRE extensive and long term rehabilitation and therapy within a timely manner for her to even have a chance at trying to properly recover as best as she can from now on. HOWEVER, due to the fact that she is 62 years old (and not eligible for Medicare yet) and was recently homeless with no medical insurance, we are left at the mercy of the healthcare system’s scarce assistance which has stated we can’t get any kind of solution for any POSSIBLE assistance for at least 6 months. Yet, she is being FORCED by Kennestone Hospital to make discharge plans immediately. Being threatened to be discharged while she is still paralyzed, can’t walk or stand, and is still on 2-person assistance. She is also still in need of 24/7, around the clock care for the foreseeable future with no immediately assistance upon discharging from the hospital in sight. My family and I are truly left without any other options to find the care she needs in a timely manner given the systematic pressure. I know times are tough for everyone but I humbly ask you guys and whoever else reads this to please help if you can. Literally ANY AMOUNT, SMALL OR BIG, HELPS AND WILL ALL GO TOWARDS RESOURCES FOR FINDING PLACEMENT AND CARE FOR MY MOTHER as she recovers from this horrible incident!! The healthcare system won’t budge and I’m at my last end asking and pleading my case with anyone who will listen. I’m trying to give my mother a fighting chance to overcome this major medical crisis she has suffered and give her an opportunity to heal from the circumstances that have lead to this.
IF YOU COULD PLEASE DONATE, BIG OR SMALL, and/or SHARE THIS to whomever is out there… even cents, any bit helps as we try to navigate this to give my mother a fighting chance at getting her life back. I’ll even sweeten up the deal for the largest donor(s) .. I am a DJ and I believe in paying things forward, so the largest DONOR can get a professional session on me utilizing my DJ services for a set amount of time. I’m doing whatever it takes to try to raise money for my mom to get care, help, and all she needs to have a fighting chance. I cannot stress how much it would mean to me if you can help by donating so we can help her heal and get back on track. Please contact me or my sister, Hillarie Soyini via cell for any questions if you’re receiving this. Again, God bless you all and thank you for the generosity, love and prayers you’ve sent our ways during this difficult time. - Adriano Aka The Black Amigo
