Lorraine Odom’s Breast Cancer Journey

Life has a funny way of throwing challenges. My name is Lorraine Odom. In March 2023, I found out I had invasive breast cancer. The only option I had was a double mastectomy. This is my second time fighting cancer. The cost of specialized doctors, chemotherapy, hospital fees, nurse practitioners, chemotherapy, lab tests and prescription medications has caused a financial hardship. Many people know someone who needs help. I’ve never been one to ask. This is the most sensitive and scariest moment of my life. The physical and mental toll from chemotherapy is overwhelming.
