Hi! My name is Sherry and I am asking that anyone reading this might help a family who has come to my attention as one's in dire need of help. In the past several years this family of six has had to deal with the father falling off of a roof and enduring in a traumatic brain injury resulting in autonomic failure; the mother recently developing a brain tumour; and a daughter who has connective tissue disease. As you might imagine, with all of these issues these parents are not able to work. While they have had some forward movement with the systems in this province, those same systems are failing them right now. They are not stepping up to address all of the needs, and the family is finding it impossible to keep up with all of the bills they've been hit with! Medical bills aside, there is rent and household expenses that have not been met and have compounded to an unmanageable level. Therefore, if you are able to help with any amount, $5.00, 10.00, $20.00 or more! It would go a long way in letting this family know that there are people out there who care. Any response at all would mean the world, and possibly make this the best Christmas this family has ever had.
