Hi everyone,

My name is Jason Tampanello, and my wife Megan was recently diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma.

Our Story

This all started months ago when she began having symptoms that no one could quite figure out.

We went through test after test — CAT scans, MRIs, biopsies — all just trying to get answers.

Every one of those steps came with a new bill, and before we even got the diagnosis, we were already deep in the hole.

Now that we finally know what we’re facing, the real battle begins — and the hospital bills are about to pile up fast.

Who We Are

We are married and have been together for 16 years. We have four children who mean everything to us.

We’ve faced a lot of hard things head-on over the years, but we’ve always found a way through it together.

We’re not the type to ask for help.

Both of us come from very small families with little support, so most of our lives we’ve had to figure things out on our own — just the two of us and our kids.

Even now, we’re both still working, trying to hold everything together and keep life as normal as possible for our family.

But this is one of those times where we simply can’t do it alone, no matter how much we want to.

Why We’re Asking for Help

We don’t know exactly what the total cost of treatment will be yet — cancer care is unpredictable and expensive — but between the tests, procedures, upcoming treatments, and recovery costs, it’s already overwhelming.

We’re setting an initial goal of $15,000 to help cover:

The CAT scans, MRIs, and biopsy expenses we’ve already paid just to reach this point

Upcoming treatments and medications

Travel, time off work, and recovery costs that come with the fight ahead

How We’ll Keep in Touch

I don’t plan on flooding this page with medical receipts — that’s just not realistic when you’re trying to make it through each day — but if anyone ever wants a personal update, I’ll gladly respond.

The main goal here is simply to get Megan what she needs without drowning in debt on top of everything else while keeping our kids’ lives as stable as we can.
