UPDATE 2 - Insurance News

The home insurance that the church had covers 0% of the home's contents and looks like it won’t even completely cover the market rebuilding costs of the house. Doug and Susan's renter's insurance will help, but it will not cover all of their contents.

Even if they could snap their fingers and start rebuilding, they have to come up with the monetary difference between living in the parsonage and renting for the next few months.

Douglas and Susan are some of the most humble, sweet folks. They do not feel entitled to any of this help. They are just blown away.

Hi, my name is Jonny.

I am trying to raise funds for my selfless in-laws. They have helped and are loved by so many people. They have spent their last few years helping so many children as house parents at a children's home and then serving the church by preaching the gospel at the Mcloud church of Christ.

This morning (9/4), during Sunday services, their house caught on fire, ruining nearly all of their possessions.

The funds raised will be used for immediate and emergency expenses related to their losses and to help them get by until they can receive their house insurance claim.

Their son and daughter-in-law (along with four grandchildren) are transitioning to a new job. Since they moved, they have been staying with Doug and Susan. Unfortunately, they lost some of their possessions as well.

Everyone is safe, and our family is very thankful to God for that! This fund will be used to help their physical losses!
