Eduardo’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi my name is Lizette Valencia. On Thursday August 2, 2018, My nephew Eduardo Torres who is only 21, was riding his motorcycle and it was raining. He lost control and hit a fence causing him to be thrown off the bike hitting a concrete wall and landing in a lake. He managed to crawl out of the water all mangled and bleeding and called mom in a panic before he went unconscious and a witness picked up the phone and called an ambulance.
This is a call no parent wants to ever get. As they arrive at hospital not knowing what to expect they are asked to wait as he is being worked on. They waited for almost 3 hours to get word of his condition and ultimately be able to see him. They were not prepared for what they saw. He had shattered multiple bones in his face, broken jaw, and so much more.
On Thursday August 9th he went into a estimated 6 hr surgery that ended up being 12 hours. They estimated 4 metal plates but ended up using 10+.
Though surgery was very long and complicated it seem to be a success.
He is now on the long road to recovery, currently in a lot of pain and swelling setting in.
With no health insurance and not having the ability to return to work we are looking to collect funds to help him with all the medical bills and cost to make a full recovery.
We appreciate any donation as no donation is too small. We will continue to update so you can take this journey with him.
We truly believe he will be a walking miracle who has a bigger purpose.
Thank you for your donations, time and continued prayers. All funds will go to Eduardo and his family to care for him as he recovers.
