Hi my name is Jacquelyn and I am trying to raise money to help me on my road to recovery. I had been in pain for months and chalked it up to a pulled muscle, slept work no big deal. That is until the pain wrapped around from my spine to my chest and down my right arm. I immediately realize something was wrong and went to the ER. After bloodwork and scans I was told I had a very large mass in my upper right chest cavity which was very concerning, so I was admitted. I followed up with a biopsy and more scans and followed up with an oncologist I saw while in hospital with news I had been dreading as I didn’t want to believe. It was a non small cell cancer Stage 3 and not being operable due to it being twice the size of my heart,was devastated and heartbroken and scared. Who would have thought? What if I had never gone into the ER that day? It seemed so unreal but reality soon kicked in once I knew the results and was told chemo and immunotherapy were my options and the goal to shrink to make operable. It’s hard waking everyday in pain and trying to stay positive and at this point just being able to take things one day at a time and be strong enough to keep fighting. My love and support through my work family in office and out in the field, my family and friends are all important to me and my recovery. I am so thankful and grateful for having all that and having a partner who is with me until the end. I couldn’t do it without him but he is my motivator as I’m not ready to die, I need to keep fighting. But everything has a toll and a price. Between the meds and procedures and testing I’ve had done it is getting expensive and now I start my first round of chemo treatments this week. I am able to work some but not enough when some days it’s excruciating because of the pain. So I’m asking my supporters to help if able to. Every little bit helps and I pray everyday that each one of you knows how much it means to have yall in my corner.
