Please Help Me Get to School
Donation protected
Greetings Everyone! My name is Tajelle Denise Ruth Freeman, and I am a class of 2022 graduate from De La Salle high school in Minneapolis, MN. Since a child, I have always had a passion for law and aspire to one day become a Supreme Court Justice. I love to engage in community events and activities, which is why I have spent the past two years as a youth activist. A youth activist is an advocate for change, working to dismantle systems of racism and oppression. I am honored to have led various discussions on moving the community forward through the recurring violence. This fall, I will attend Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, California and study political science. I was offered almost a full scholarship to attend this four-year university. However, the scholarship will not cover my expenses to get there.
I live with my mother and two siblings; Kai’Lam is two, and Alchemy is three months old. My mother has always been a hard-working, dedicated single mother, so it has been challenging to get by after losing her job during COVID. Because my mother is currently unemployed, I do not qualify for a student loan as they require me to have a cosigner. Anything you can do to help is appreciated! Your donation will fund my traveling expenses to California and the remainder of my tuition for this year. Going to college to study law is a big dream of mine as I am the first generation in my family to have graduated high school and will be attending college. Please share this with your friends, peers and colleagues. I greatly appreciate your support!
