help me clean up all of san diego

Donation protected

Hello, I am new to the La Jolla area and I find it disappointing to see all the cigarette butts  and trash on the streets and sidewalks. I walk about ten miles a day in this beautiful neighborhood, and I thought I would try to do something constructive while walking.

The reason of the amount asked is because I want to to become a non profit where it serves all of the san diego coastlines oceans and retail, restaurant areas.

Like Toms shoes, you have to start out small and grow and learn by your mistakes. This will allow me to hire others to do the same in the areas mentioned below and once that is accomplished and the non profit is set up we will expand.

I have spent over $500.00 up to date of my own money on this project and have been doing this for six weeks , 7 days a week straight now at 4 hours a day starting at 6 am.

I hope to locate a few people and equip them to do the same thing in specific areas. The coastline is important, but so is the retail and restaurant areas which tourists come to, in our gem of a city.

My route is both sides of Girard and Fay  and Hershal and the streets between, Wall, Silverado and Kline, from Pearl Street to the cove including all parking areas. I also go down Draper and Eads, Pearl to La Jolla Blvd. and both sides of Prospect Place.

I read in the La Jolla Light and other publications of people complaining about excess trash. I have a possible solution, by contracting other people to mobilize them to do this in all of La Jolla's beaches and retail and restaurant areas.

I would like this to campaign to go county wide over the next year by starting off in the gem  of La Jolla.

I want to start this in the La Jolla area first including the shores, birdrock and windnsea. I will eventually make this a non profit and hopefully take on the whole san diego coast and tourist areas.

If you wish not to donate here you can reach me at gerwinjeffrey at yahoo, all the equipment used for trash and cigarette butts pickup comes out of my own pocket and not to mention the 4 hours I spend picking up everyday.

I want to leave a legacy on this earth and I believe by doing this county wide in this beautiful area with a strong plan for recycling and contract workers I can achieve this, who says you cant start over again when you are near sixty years of age.

PS I have now 3 others who I contracted, 1 in the la jolla shores area and 1 each in Birdrock and Windnsea areas.

Thank you,
Jeff
