Hi, my name is Phillip Manuel. I'm a singer from the great music town of New Orleans. I'm fundraising to finance a new recording project--a full-length CD. Gofundme suggests you explain why the project is important to you. Other than obvious reasons, I wanted to give that some thought. I've been singing practically since I could speak. My father was the greatest singer i've ever known. In fact, many in my father's family were musically gifted and I was fortunate enough to inherit those genes. However, one of my great regrets is never recording my dad's voice while he was alive. With all that talent in one family, i'm the only one who's ever pursued it as a career. Actually, It chose me. With that said, I continue to sing for myself and for my dad. And while I have only the memory of my father's voice, I'm determined to leave my sons a wealth of my work. And if that isn't enough reason, ultimately, I still feel the fire inside and the need to produce and share my craft.
