Some illnesses are not always visible, but they are there nonetheless. There are many people who are invisibly ill. They struggle with conditions that are not immediately apparent to others, but which affect them on a daily basis. Whether the symptoms are physical or mental, the impact is significant.
In addition to the pain they experience, there is often a lack of understanding. It is more difficult to find support for something you cannot see, and that makes the situation even more difficult.
That is why this year, with De Warmste Week, we are rallying for people who are invisibly ill. This year, we want to work together to ease the pain, break through the invisibility and offer the support that is so desperately needed.
