Nicole experienced life threatening medical complications in May of 2012.  She has had 4 open heart surgeries including a heart transplant in June of 2013 and is fortunate to be alive.  She has overcome astronomical odds.  She has fought through and still coping with tremendous complications including stroke which has left her with neurologic and visual deficits.  She is a mother of 3 young children whose lives are forever changed.  Her determination to live for her family is difficult to imagine, let alone describe.  She has been unable to drive or return to work as a teacher.  Her current goals and ambitions include spending quality time with her family.  She also wants to write a book to share her amazing story.  Her medical costs have already soared into millions of dollars.  The struggle with large companies and administrations with tremendous resources continue to this day.  Nicole has been fighting uphill battles for nearly 3 years and has been doing it relatively silently.  It's time her story is shared.  It is time for her to be able to stop fighting and start enjoying the time she has left.  Please help us share her story.
