Plz support us on our service dog journey!

UPDATE: I am now 18 and still have my daily struggles, however now I have journey who helps me through it! This dog has changed my life and gave me some of my independence back! We recently dropped her off a top paw to finish up her service dog training. They were kind enough to donate this $9,000 course to us, however we still had to pay for her food, toys, treats, vaccines, air fare, etc… The costs added up fast and we are really struggling financially (like $4000 to live off of for the next 2 months including bills) so I just wanted to try asking for support once more. Please share this and help us out. We put this in gods hands and pray every thing will work out

I am SO SO grateful to everyone who has supported us financially and emotionally through this! Training you’re own service dog is not easy nor cheep! Thank you to everyone who’s been here supporting us.
Ps. I uploaded photos of her cuteness on
@oursd_journey keep updated on our journey!

UPDATE: we picked out journey when she was 7 weeks old and picked her up from the breeder when she turned 8weeks. She has been an amazing dog, I can’t believe she just turned 1! Thank you everyone who has help us through this!

Hello my name is Jasmine and I am trying to raise about 6,500 dollars to train my own service dog with help of a professional. Why? I don’t want to go in-depth into what’s been going on with my mental health, but for some info…

I was diagnosed with PTSD at the age of 5 and struggled a lot because of it. I would get panic attacks so bad that I would black out. It was really hard to go to school and do a lot of things a little kid should. I also became more isolated and was afraid of people getting close to me because I was afraid they would abandon me.

Over the years with a lot of therapy and several different people’s support I was able to get a lot better. However it sadly never ended. Within the last 3 years my anxiety and PTSD has become really bad again. It makes it hard to just leave the house and do normal things a 17 year old should be doing. It is nearly impossible to go on a quick grocery store run by myself. I get really annoyed with myself because of it and then get a bit depressed. I want my independence!

We have tried several different things like medication, therapy and the support of my family. However it’s just not enough. Yes all that stuff does help, but I still have to rely on people just to go somewhere because I'm too afraid. I can’t live my life like this.

We (my close family and I) want to take the next step. We have decided that a psychiatric service dog would help mitigate my anxiety as well as help me gain some of my independence back. However we have had a lot of bad things happen recently that cost a lot. We are getting by but do not have enough to afford a service dog. So I am asking for help. A service dog would change my life for the better. We need a little support financially in order to make it possible!

Any and everything helps, even just sharing my story!

Also in case you did not already know, a service dog is a tasked trained dog to help mitigate a person’s disability.

Here is a photo of my sister and I (I am the one with the butterfly necklace).
