Plymouth Bay Cultural District

The newly formed Plymouth Bay Cultural District (PBCD) is excited to share its one-stop website experience for everyone exploring the arts, entertainment, retail, restaurant and culture scene in and around historic Plymouth. Established in 2014, the mission of the Plymouth Bay Cultural District is to provide information and news of happenings in the district at  As the 27th  Cultural District established by Massachusetts Cultural Council, businesses and organizations located in geographic area bordered by Main, Court and Water Streets,  and the Plymouth Waterfront. PBCD is 100% funded through local and state grants and are pursuing 501-C3 non-profit status.

Funding for arts and cultural programs have been drastically reduced in the 2018 Massachusetts state budget, affecting the District on many levels.  Achieving many of our desired goals, from the simplest tasks of funding of monthly website costs (hosting fees, security software, maintenance and website updates) to printing full color Cultural District brochures for visitors and tourists, has been impacted. Membership in the District is free to local businesses and organizations in residence, and event listings on our website are offered free of charge. Advertising opportunities for businesses will be offered on our website in the near future.

As an all-volunteer committee, we have planned many initiatives to deliver more great programs and events to the region, but truly need your help.  As a lover of the arts and culture in Plymouth, and all it has to offer, please consider making a donation. As a destination for all, our history, arts and culture will continue to thrive. Thank you in advance, The Plymouth Bay Cultural District.
