Plutos tooth extraction upper jaw

Hi! My name is Andra Iuliana Dobre (22), art student. 8 days ago I was on my way to the store, when I stumbled upon two girls and a cat. The cat has apparently been out for at least 2 days, they asked if I have a cat cage or if I knew someone who could take care of him and bring him to the veterinary the next day to get his chipped checked out. I toked him home planning on going to the veterinary at first hour.

I posted pictures of him everywhere and was looking for his missing owner, nowhere to be found. I finally found an add on Finn, where it said that they wanted to give ‘’Pluto’’ away. Pluto is a ‘’Skipskatt’’ born 01.03.2022. I sent the owner of Pluto a message saying that I found him on the street and would like to keep him. The owner answer right away saying that she has already given him to someone and that he has a new owner. I was told by the first owner, that the person she gave Pluto to was not serious at all and wanted to give him back the same day, and that most probably she left him escape instead of taking care of him. The first owner sent my number to the second owner and she got in contact with me. Saying that she, right away, regrated getting him, and that she realized she’s not a good owner. While she was on a walk with Pluto, he escaped from hes leash. She told me that she went ‘’looking and looking’’ for him, but didn’t find him anywhere. Pluto has been missing for at least three days, and there was no adds or any missing posters of him anywhere, so I do not believe she actually went looking for him.

Even tough I’m a student, and my parents already have three cats and a dog and could not take one more cat in, I decided to keep Pluto and take care of him, in my student apartment.

From the first owner, I found out that hes not sterilized or chipped, so I paid for this myself. At this point I had Pluto for 7 days, I took him to AiCura Majostuen and the billed reached 3.346kr for castration, chip and two vaccines. While at the veterinary, the veterinarian remarked that one of Plutos tooth is chipped, and it might be necessary to extract it, the surgery would be ca.8.000kr. After his castration I went back to pick him, and the veterinarian confirmed that his toot was chipped and his nerves were exposed, a mild infection starting to form, they recommended me to extract it.

Getting Pluto was completely unexpected, but without any regrets, I can't understand how someone would give away, even worse, abandon a cat just like that. I have had Pluto for 8 days today, and have grown so fond to him. Since I’m a full-time student, my economy is not the best, but I prioritized Plutos health from the beginning, although I was not expecting a surgery worth ca.8.000kr…Therefore I’m making this GoFoundMe, in order to ask for any donations, whatever amount is helpful!
