Good morning, my name is Arielle and I am speaking on behalf of myself, my fiancé, and son. Our family dog, Bronx, has contracted a severe infection in his tail from an injury. Initially we treated the injury at the advice of the vet, but he sustained another wound beneath the bottom of his tail that we were unable to see. This wound caused a severe infection. We took him to the hospital but we were unable to be seen due to vets being so backed up with cases as their hours and staff have been reduced from COVID. They called us to come back in at about 3 AM Monday morning. He was sedated and treated, given antibiotics, but in just a few hours, his infection went from bad to exceedingly worse. We took him back and was referred to another hospital with a surgeon as his tail would need to be amputated or the infection would kill him. By now, we have incurred $1400 in vet bills and were told the surgery would cost at the least $3000. We are asking for any donation that you can give to help us save our boy. He is scared and suffering and we are doing all we can to help, but we need a bit of help ourselves. We have just purchased our first home so that Bronx and his sister could finally live the life that dogs should live- frolicking about in the backyard and enjoying fresh air in the suburbs instead of being cooped up in an apartment in the city. Unfortunately, three weeks in, our boy has gone down hill. Pls help us so that he can FINALLY live an amazing life. We love him and want to save him.
