hi everyone, my name is TRINITY!! if you are part of the animation department, you probably recognize me as the class of 2028 student representative. if you live in 23rd street, you know me as RA TRINITY or as the super awesome speaker you saw at the animation panel at accepted students day in april! on a nicher sense, if you’ve ever seen the series TRINITY in Heroville anywhere online … that’s my work!

but on a deeper sense, who am i really? who are you donating your money to, beyond the resume?

when i was 7 years old, i was a victim of police brutality and gun violence. this led me to being in and out of therapist offices during my entire elementary school experience. i turned to art during my struggles, watching cartoons to distract me from my problems. in high school a friend of mine committed suicide, and it kinda gave me an epiphany—i could use my art and my experiences to help other people, the same way art helped me. i made my first film in high school, a 17-minute animatic complete with voice acting and an original soundtrack, with the sole purpose of making people laugh. if i can use my creativity and humor to distract someone from their problems, even if only for a few minutes, i will have fulfilled the impact i wish to make on the world through my animation.

during my time at sva, i have already made a film and involved myself in a number of clubs and extracurricular activities. i love this school, and i believe my education here will be pivotal in achieving my goals. however, despite all the work i have put in to lowering my tuition, it is still $7k a semester—money my family does not have. i am doing everything i can on my end to fund my education, which includes asking my friends and classmates for help.

the idea of asking for money does not fully sit well with me, so other options are to commission me or purchase merch off of my etsy (@binscurtis). thank you to everyone who has supported me so far, i am so grateful!!!
