Pls Help Support My 4 Brothers that lost their dad

Dear Friend,

On Monday, May 4, 2020 my dad, Greg Martin, suffered from a stroke at the young age of 49 due to high blood pressure. This stroke caused a brain hemorrhage near a very dangerous and critical area that controls his ability to wake up, and move his arms and legs. He is also in a deep coma because of this and is relying on a ventilator to breathe. The doctor’s are saying that if he makes it through this he will need special medical care and extensive therapy to survive. The worst outcome is that he will need to be on life support for the rest of his life.

He’s currently in critical condition at the ICU at Fountain Valley Hospital where they have given up all hope and we, as a family, are trying our best to fight for his life. Due to this hospital’s inability to help us, we are trying to transfer him to the UCI Medical Center for better medical care, advanced technology, and knowledgeable neurologists who specialize in strokes and can also provide a second opinion.

Since he works for an independent contractor, his health insurance is limited and will not cover hospital transfer and most of his medical expenses, in addition to future care and necessary medical equipment that he desperately needs to survive. He is also the only provider of my 4 younger brothers, Justin, 9, Jonathan , 10, Nathan , 11 and Brandon, 15. My step mom, Veronica, who is a stay-at-home mom will also now need to take special care of my dad in addition to taking care of the kids on her own and might not be able to work. Due to these unforeseen circumstances, our family, especially my younger brothers, really need your help and support.

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing of a dad he is. Even though he worked like crazy to provide for his family, he always put his kids and family first. He never missed a single one of my brother’s baseball games and even spent hours practicing with them in the backyard to get them prepared every weekend. He also always tried to take them to church every Sunday and spent any extra time he had with them, whether it was teaching them how to play instruments, teaching them technology, or just playing games together. He is the best dad in the world and we want to do everything we can to help him survive this and recover.

It breaks my heart to see my dad in this condition and the thought of my family struggling financially makes it even worse. I can only pray, stay positive, and let God do his work in helping him heal. In this time of need I am asking for your help. Any donation is deeply appreciated and will go directly to helping my dad survive, recover, and receive medical equipment, and rehabilitation treatment in addition to supporting my younger brothers since my dad will no longer be able to support them.

Your donation means so much to our family and we appreciate your generosity and prayers during this difficult time.

Thank you and God bless you.

Sincerely,

The Martin Family
