SAVE MY SON'S LIFE. CHD (TOF)

Hello, my name is Charlotte from the Philippines. I am a single mother of 2 very lovable children. My son, Joe, has a congenital heart condition known as TOG or Tetralogy of Fallot.

He is already 8 years old, and it is urgent that he gets surgery as soon as possible. He is at risk of having sudden cardiac arrest. The TOF is also causing other problems including shortness of breath and fatigue.

I have been working desperately to get him the surgery that he needs. I am a member of PhilHealth and recently was approved for the Z-Health Plan for members like myself who do not have the means to cover the operation.

The Z-Health Plan insurance will cover most of the costs but my out-of-pocket cost is still $5000. This is an unsurmountable amount of money for us to come up with without the compassion from you.

Because he is at risk each day we delay, as soon as we deliver the money then he will be scheduled for surgery immediately.

How do I know it is not a fraud?

As a friend of the family, I will deliver the funds directly to hospital/doctor to minimize any chance of fraud. As well, I have indepedently verified the doctor and claims via Philhealth government website.

 Any additional we raise will be given to the family to cover travel and other costs associated with the operation.

That's why we continue to fight for him and thus we are raising funds even just for his 1 heart defect that would be done through Close Heart Operation to close his TOF so as he could grow much better and his heart would not be burdened too much because of these hole.
