We want to take a moment to thank every single person who has supported us — through donations, messages, prayers, and love. We truly cannot put into words how much it has meant to our family.
Mike continues to face ALS with an attitude that amazes us every day. He is not giving up the fight. His strength, resilience, joy, and determination to keep living fully — especially for his family — inspire everyone around him. We are continuing forward with hope, including participation in clinical studies, and we are incredibly grateful for our dedicated team of doctors and caregivers who walk this journey with us.
As ALS progresses, there are important steps we must take to ensure Mike’s comfort, safety, and quality of life. In the coming months, he will be receiving a feeding tube and will need additional medical equipment at home, including a Hoyer lift and a hospital bed. These changes will help him stay comfortable and supported as his needs evolve.
Looking ahead, Mike will also require to use his power wheelchair, which means we will need a wheelchair-accessible van. This is not just about transportation — it’s about preserving his independence and allowing him to continue doing the things that matter most: attending his sons’ games, milestones such as Alexis's graduation as well as his nieces and nephew Jordan, Cassie, and Dylan, spending time with all our family, and staying connected to the world around him.
Your continued support helps us prepare for these realities while allowing Mike to keep living with dignity, joy, and purpose. We truly would not be able to do this without our incredible village of family, friends, and supporters. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us.
With love and gratitude,
The Quigley family
