Judy's Journey

This page is about my Journey.  I am Judy and my story is told in the attached video.  My Mom and I have been through a lot in the last 17 years, with all of my Dad’s illnesses, my Grandma’s illnesses, and then all of my illnesses and our hospitalizations.

As I tell you in the video, I never got to have my “Make a Wish”  or anything like that.  Then, when we have had all of these other obstacles, we really didn’t ask anyone for any help.  We figured we could do it by ourselves.  And, we did.  It was difficult and sometimes lonely, but, my CT scans for the last few oncology visits have been good and that was enough help.

We recently were going through some qualifications to see if we would be able to re-purchase our family home—that has been in my Mom’s family since 1959 and we had to sell when my Dad died and Mom lost her job—that we really don’t own the home we live in because of filing bankruptcy after Dad died.

So, I am asking anyone who knows us or who worked with Mom or even just appreciate the hard work she does for others, if you would like to help us recover the thousands of dollars that we lost due to missed work, travel expenses to and from all the hospital and doctor visits and radiation treatments, then, we can use that to put on the bills that happened during those years of treatments and be able to buy back the house.

I have Asperger’s Syndrome (Autism) and when we had to move from the only house I knew because of Dad’s illness and death and the loss of his income and insurance money (he had group insurance and even though he had paid on it for over 40 years, it decreased by 50% at 65 and another 30% at 70—he was 71 when he died)---it really caused me anxiety and depression. 

Because of my disabilities, I know I will have to live with my Mom.   If we hadn’t had all those medical bills and expenses, this wouldn’t even be an issue.  We are asking for help to recover those expenses so we can pay those bills and be able to save the family home for us, Mom and I.
