Hello my friends,
I am here today to ask for help. This is a dear friend of mine from Atlanta that lost her husband from one day to the next due to the new immigration laws. Josue (husband) was the head of the household supporting the kids and Elvia. They had 4 kids, including Josuesito that was born around the same time I had Victor (my son) - they are both 10 today. He was born perfectly fine, but when he turned tw he had meningitis and unfortunately the doctors did not discover it in time and it affected him for the rest of his life. When that happened he almost died, but God decided that he should stay with us. He does not speak, does not walk or sit-down, he eats only through tubes, he has several seizures during the day and he is also blind.
This always being a very touchy and sad story to me, but it now became even more.
Elvia has to support the family. She tried looking for a job even though she has no experience, but because the little boy needs 24 hours care, the nanny cost was higher than what she was going to make. Elvia takes care of that boy like nobody else. I always tell her that she is the best mom in the planet.
Elvia is now trying to make a mini industrial kitchen in her house so she can cook at home and have the boy close to her. The initial cost to buy the supplies is very high and she doesn’t have it. She is also behind on car payments and rent. She can’t lose her car and nor be kicked out of the house. I am trying to help them the best way I can. She needs to start her life and have a safe place for her kids. Her husband will probably be back in the US and she will be alone with the kids in Atlanta. This money that we are raising can help them big time...
