Pledges for Chromebooks & Hotspots for Plymouth

Meet Lucy! These are uncertain times we live in right now! It is so hard to know what to do for returning to school. There are so many challenges for families and administrators alike. Lucy is concerned about her friends. She wants no one to be left behind! What will happen to students if we need to go remote again? How will we make sure that each child has equal access to resources? The schools did a great job of making sure that kids had access to technology in the town of Plymouth for the spring. Kids still slipped through the cracks. In the state of Massachusetts close to 30% of kids fell off the radar. We want to make sure that this doesn't happen again! We want to make sure that the School Department can continue to employee people we need more than ever now and provide them with everything they need to do their job to the best of their ability.
My name is Katherine, we are residents of Plymouth MA, I want to help lucy reach her goal of helping the kids of her community. We will be handing these funds over to the Plymouth MA School District with the intention of funding chromebooks and hotspots or replenishing the extra funds that they have already spent for this new technology. We will be delivering a check to the school before school starts but would be happy to leave this open for more donations to roll in after the first day. Thank you for your support!
Plymouth needs just over 30,000 to fund 1/2 a year of tech for hybrid or remote education.
There are over 60,000 people living in the town of Plymouth, MA right now. If each person could give $1.00 we could almost completely give the school department what they need to pay for computers and hot spots for the whole year.
We know not everyone can afford to give $1 in these times, but what if the people that could gave $5 or $10...we could reach this goal in no time!
