Are you still sad about AIDs? Do you cry when you cum? Do you feel an impending sense of doom when you first open your eyes? Let the sexy gay Gen Z clowns heal you. For one night only, The Organization With No Name is proud to present PLEASURE87. A sexy surreal theatrical double bill exploring death, love, and shame. PLEASURE87 features two shows for the price of one, as well a DJ set. Release your trauma, so you can party!
PLEASURE is a postmodern exorcism of shame, fear, and loss. Constructed from years’ worth of interviews, it asks us to interrogate the symbiosis between our greatest traumas and deepest pleasures.
1987: A Clown Show explores the trauma young people have inherited from the AIDS epidemic through a script comprised entirely of found-text from 1987, sewn together by a team of queer-identifying Gen Z artists.
This pride month we are asking for your support to bring this production to life. We are looking to raise $500 to help supplement the cost of venue, props, and other technical elements. This money also gives us the ability to give our artists stipends for their time and creativity.
PLEASURE87 is going up at Purgatory Bar July 22nd at 7pm. Hope that you can make it!
