I want to introduce you to Adrianna ('Yanna' to those of us who have the privilege of being in her life). She is an amazing girl, who has impressed me from a very young age with her creativity. I have been waiting her entire childhood to see what she would do with her life - and I have NOT been disappointed! At the age of 17 (YES, 17!!!!), she went to school and became a welder, which was no easy task in a man's industry. Adrianna has been paving the way for other young women to follow their hearts and be what they want to be. She loves to fish, water ski, ride her side-by-side with family and friends, and wants to be a Mom some day.

At 24 years of age, just 3 years into grabbing life by the horns, Adrianna was diagnosed with Astrocytoma, stage 3. It's not curable, but is treatable and hopefully can be managed over time. Unfortunately, it's up to the tumor how the next 10 years will play out.

It has been a rough road for Adrianna. She had brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. However, part of it was around her motor skills quadrant in her brain, so they could not remove it all - leaving her with the knowledge that all they can do is manage it, hoping to get her some quality of life before the tumor wins.

After surgery, there were 13 trips to the ER, and complications (Meningitis, Shingles, ruptured membrane causing spinal fluid leakage to name a few) that led to 3.5 months of being in and out of the hospital (77 days!!!). She has a shunt to drain brain fluid, which still isn't functioning properly. I could fill this entire GoFundMe with what this beautiful soul has endured, but suffice it to say that most of us would not be able to handle what this young woman has endured.

Adrianna just completed her 33 radiation treatments and is taking a quick break before starting her Chemo, which will be 12 cycles over 12 months. She is having a port put in on Tuesday so the chemo can be administered. She's been tired, has lost a huge chunk of her beautiful hair from the radiation, and needs a lot of help to get through the day. Her Mom had to take an extended leave of absence from work to help her get to and from treatments, assist with simple daily tasks and make sure Adrianna gets the care she needs (which has also put a financial strain on her Mom's finances).

This family is in crisis. They are facing other hurdles now as well - unbelievable and unnamed situations that they shouldn't have to be dealing with while trying to keep Adrianna alive and get through her treatment. They really need our help.

Any money that is collected will go towards Yanna's bills, living expenses and other critical needs that she can't pay for herself. She also needs a wig that they were told would be in excess of $2,000.
